Yes but it is not always that simple though I have in many of my battery locs gaffa taped batteries together to see what I can get in with AA and AAA and thus far have always managed. But surprisingly with my Gauge 3 Y6 I have been having problems, no doubt because I have not yet attacked the fitting of a boiler inside the body which may likely sort out all of the issues if where to put the betteries.That's why it's worth talking to Roger - tell him the space available and he'll make something to fit
