battery powered stainz

so anyone here know what the item number for the plug that marries into the socket in the back of the stainz is?

There's no part number for the plug on its own. It has to be purchased as part of a larger item such as the 68333 lighting kit referred to in a previous posting.
 
Chapex-linden part number CL60160 consists of four of these plugs ready connected to two pieces of twin flex(one plug on each end.

That's a very good pointer Neil. I'd forgotten C-L's bits and pieces. Item CL0038 is 4 of the relevant 2-pole plugs and item CL0045/46 the correct type of wire to which they attach.
 
I have used battery power rc control in two of my LGB locos now. Being scottish and mean this involved a speed controller, double pole swithc and charging socket from Chuffed to bits, a 2.4GHz rc transmitter and receiver from Giant Shark, and batteries and battery holders from maplins. A bit of soldering and magically the whole set up works.
