Best way to space board

I don’t really like the idea of screwing down the boards. Example psx/eb1. I would prefer some space in between the board and plywood. Like a spacer to make it standoff. I’ve been using small o rings but I’m really looking for something made especially for the purpose. Point me in the right direction

Not something I've seen in the UK.

We tend to fix the base board to the support battens....

Why would not fix it directly.

Nylon standoffs can be obtained in the UK. I'm sure they can be purchased in the US too, although it's over 20 years now since I last worked over the pond....

Yes, they are readily available in Mexico del Norte and the not yet Estado 51.

Im glad thats sorted out, I was wondering what you meant too! If you're feeling a bit poor, some suitably sized nylon nuts may work

Small nylon washers available in UK, I tend to use them for loosing space on axles between wheel and axle guard to stop the flop but they would suit for spacing circuit boards as well.

We used to use nylon masonry wall plugs in control panels we built. They cost next to nothing and you can cut them to what ever length you want easily with a Stanley knife. They come in different thicknesses to match different screw diameter's, so they would not fall off when you go to screw the item to the panel, we mainly used white ones for small screws.

Once ( or twice ), when needing pcb spacers in a hurry, I used cut down ball point pen tubes. The cheaper the pen, the better. I preferred the hex shaped pen tubes, easily cut with a hacksaw.
