Can’t Log in from desktop device

Two Stage authentication which is otherwise known as Dual Factor Authentication is where you try to login with your credentials and then the site sends you a code that needs to be entered as well. This code can normally be sent to you using an email or via SMS, some systems allow you to use a code generator application that runs on your phone (such as Microsoft Authenticator, Authy and similar). If you dont enter the correct code in you do not login.

I am not familiar how this forum is using DFA as I have not enabled it on my account. You can enable it by going to your Password and Security settings.
Aha sounds like he needs to disable it next time he manages to log in!

Yep, using DFA as it was recommended on security grounds. First time I’ve ever experienced issues which may indicate it‘s a problem with the forum software rather than anything I’m doing. Really needs someone else to try logging in using DFA to see if the issue is confined to me or if it appears to be broader DFA-related thing.

So I two stage authentication on my bank accounts, and certain other financial websites, but i do not understand why you would need it on a forum, if somebody hacked your forum account there could be some unpleasantness in your name, but that is about all, what else can happen, or am I missing something.

Your name could be associated with the wrong shade of green... Upper-quadrant signalling.. Or even battery, RC!! :(:eek::eek::eek:

:rofl::rofl::rofl:
Worst than that, somebody may say I am track power DCC :mask: o_O :mask: o_O :mask: o_O :mask:
Or even get accused of counting rivets or in my case bolt heads.
