Changed ebay categories???

I just look under garden railways, that seems to work. I find that these days, most of the listing are traders, not private sellers

Things seem to have improved. A G Scale search now only produces 10,000 & not 25,000. My listing have now appeared.

Look carefully, G scale is still a choice, the menu moved to horizontal.... and it looks like you can now have multiple filters, it's actually better.
Yes, a new "G Gauge" tick box (further down the page) has now appeared, it was not there on Saturday.

it was not there on Saturday.

It was there last Thursday (I made a reference to it in post #14) so presumably from the when the changes were made on Tuesday. HOWEVER, I have made searches where it DOESN'T appear, so I understand why you might have seen it for the first time today. A filter is never as good as a category, though, as many sellers don't bother to fill in all the attributes.

Cheers

David

But when I click on an item in that horizontal list, I get an error page.

Dan, would it surprise you to hear that it is working for everyone else? You gotta throw that computer away!

No offense, but if I were to total similar posts from you, do you believe I could get to 10?

I'm sorry you keep having troubles, but the common denominator is your computer.

Greg

With the recent change, I had to go back into each search, and filter to "G" gauge.... it appears since this "moved" it was no longer in my existing searches.

Editing each search, and then specifying "G gauge" seems to do the trick.

It seems that with more attributes in the "filter" categories, I can fine tune the searches better, going from text searches to categories, so to speak.

Greg

Though this change is not easy to get on with (at first at least) I am sure (honest I am) that it was done for the good of the users. Like all changes we have a choice:
  1. Get over the change and get on with it.
  2. Move on and use something else.
This is the same for IT software changes, like it or lump it :)

It's your computer configuration most likely, do you have blockers in your browser? Are you using the latest version of a mainstream browser? If it was broken for everyone on ebay, it would already be fixed...
We still are running with O SX ELCAPITAN. I've been told that our MAC is too old to upgrade to Mojave or whatever the newest operating system is. It's time to visit the Apple store, I suspect.

My PC has recently done a Win 10 update, and informed me it cannot run Win 11, so it would seem a new PC is in order, I have had this one a loooooooooooong time :)

Hang tough on the win 11 thing, I have a bunch of very serviceable computers, and only one will upgrade to 11... and 11 is really window dressing, been running it for several months.

There's going to be enough irritated people that Microsoft is going to have to back off. my prediction.

Greg

11 is just cosmetic, not a bug jump at all... if you think Microsoft is a pain, re-read Dan's troubles with his Mac, microsoft will allow you to install on unsupported computer, Apple will not... but feel free to spend even more money and get locked in, you will become a believer in hardware upgrades...

Still probably no-hope, for the Winders 7 laptop, though?
:nerd::giggle::giggle::giggle:
I have 7 on my little lap top - works fine for me (said he, optimistically!).

Oh, it works.. Runs the legacy-stuff.. Has a real serial port...

It is just mightily-slow, despite registry cleaning, defragging, and general tidying-up..:yawn:

I had several from a client, when they upgraded.. Possibly ten years ago, now?
Means I have been able to keep it going..
