I see he was 'circumventing' his garden! Had to look that one up.......[*]besiege: surround so as to force to give up; "The Turks besieged Vienna"[*]outwit: beat through cleverness and wit; "I beat the traffic"; "She outfoxed her competitors"[*]hedge: avoid or try to avoid fulfilling, answering, or performing (duties, questions, or issues); "He dodged the issue"; "she skirted the problem"; "They tend to evade their responsibilities"; "he evaded the questions skillfully"[*]to avoid or get around something; to bypass; to surround or besiege; to outwit or outsmart. Perhaps his railway was by-passing his garden, or perhaps the Turks were invading?

Great Photo though ;-)

Light tapping on the outside of the mould with a rubber hammer will also help move the air bubbles to the top. The key word is light!!!! To much tamping/ tapping will cause the stones to sink leaving a weak mix. If the moulds are reusable why not try casting a upright of site as an experiment.

well all done gents, concrete is in tamped, floated, skin is formimg on the top,

god i sound like a baker. no more can be done for at least 3 days. then finnish off with a coat of exterior paint. (was thinking of flourecent lime green) what do you think, sky blue pink or perhaps tartan?????????.

just posted video. some kind person on friday whilst we were out threw a brick and other stuff over our wall. came home to find a quarter of the viaduct in the pond along with other rubbish. a swift repair was made, and untill monday when a proper one will be made.
