We all have to many locos for the amount of wagons and coaches we own:rolf::rolf:

I think thats always been the case - it really hurts to spend a few hundred quid on a couple of coaches, when you know you can buy another engine !

55% LGB
45% Rest of the field

I want a Kof
SWMBO wants new brake pads :impatient:
Life is cruel...

"SWMBO wants new brake pads :impatient:"

You've fitted brakes to the wife...?

Detailed instructions and photos please!!! ;)

Jon.

PS: does that stop them going downhill so fast....? :rolf:

MMmm, interesting. especially as most will consider me a steamy only type... Last count there were 14 45mm gauge locos on the L&L;

LGB, 5, 36%
Accu steam, 2, 14%
Roundhouse steam, 3, 21%
Bachmann, 1, 7%
USA Trains, 2, 14%
Beck steam, 1, 7%

1% for the Queen.

This won't take long.

Locos 3 - Accucraft 2, Andel 1

Coaches - 4 Accucraft

Freight - 14 Accucraft 8, Hartland 1, Bachmann 1, unknown brand 4

Never owned any LGB, (other than a Lehman Porter which is awaiting severe butchery). Nothing against them, it was just that I started with US outline, where Bachmann supplied plenty of what I wanted, then switched to British outline. (Which is not exactly LGB's turf.. :) )

I prefer to think of it as too little stock for the number of locos.....
I didnt specify wether to sell locos or buy more stock to return the correct levels of stock to locos but i know what would be best:bigsmile::bigsmile::bigsmile:

Oh, I forgot stock - lots of Accucraft wagons (maybe 25?) and 6 IoM coaches, 2 scratchbuilt wagons, 6 LGB coaches and about 10 LGB wagons, 8 Bachmann USA cars, 4 USA trains cars.

Don;t ask what's on the HO line, it would take all day!

so looking at the locos versus coaches comments and numbers
my 'baggage' in this area is as a kid my engines didint always work so i wanted plenty
and
i have little impulse control when i see a beautiful new loco
and as mentioned those coach prices do add up-just imagine a collectoin of Magnus!

my ratio of engines to rolling stock is numerically about 1 engine to about 3.5 cars

You cant have too many locos. Your worth it. or rolling stock come to think of it.

Loco's
USA TRAINS 40%
Bachmann 40%
Aristo 20%
Sorry no LGB 0%

Wagons
USA TRAINS 45%
Bachmann 35%
Aristo 10%
LGB 2%
AMS 8%

Coaches
Bachmann 15%
Aristo 35%
LGB 35%
AMS 15%
And one Rotary snow plow 100%

I think I have one of the most random mixes so far.

LGB is top at 26%
Aristo is at 21%
Piko 16%
Playmobil 16% (some have been modified)
Usa trains 11%
Kit built 5%
Bachmann 5%

I won't do my rolling stock, Suffice to say I have lots of locos and less stock. I do have 17 playmobil wagons, all modified, as well as 5 modified NQD JNA wagons, as well as 1 PIKO and some LGB box wagons, as well as token cabooses, Most are unrecogniseable by brand as I tend to modify most of my wagons to the extent they become unrecogniseable.

Please explain this to SWMBO as for some reason she can't seem to grasp this very simple concept!

There may now be a bit of a stock clear out in the offing ??

{Oh, just realised, some one has so far missed the dead Loco's, the LGB Track Cleaner, the R3/5 curves and the 8 R3 points, stashed in box's under the layout :nail:}

Still instead of spending money on toys and being safely at home 'playing trains' would someone rather you had have been out and about drinking and fraternising with the opposite sex..... ;)
