Faur L45H / LxD2

Glad you were able to sort out the bogie frame problem, James.:D
One question: what have you used as weights in the model, and where (and how much) did you put in?

Jon.

Thanks guys! It's great to read such lovely comments.

Jon, the weights are behind the buffer beams and come with the kit. I've fitted about 2kg as my line is flat and I only use short trains, but there is plenty of space under the hoods, and Rene supplies nearly 5kg.

Even though Deseisels do'nt do a lot for me I still like this, nicely built....

Haven't seen an update on the Faur for a while, James - how are the finishing touches coming along, or have you been distracted by other projects?

Jon.

Hi Jon, if you keep an eye on my blogs you'll know I've been busy on other projects, but funny you should ask about the Faur as I've got the replacement works plates from Narrow Planet now, and they'll be fitted this weekend and I'll be taking some more, final, good quality photos to full stop this build.

I've been doing a little 009 modelling, as well as working on the Piko railbus build.
Small scale blog: http://Paxton-road.blogspot.com La...e're going to do one of these Lxd2/L45H kits?

Afraid I have too many blogs to read as it is, James - mostly work-related!

Good to hear the Faur will soon be finished, though - what did you eventually decide to do re the lighting?

The funds that I was considering spending on one have since been re-allocated (still hobby-related, I'm glad to say!) but it's not completely off the table - just plenty of other projects in front of it.... ;)

Jon.
