fish gravel works

Having found rich veins of red, white and blue aquariumite my railway needs the all important gravelworks. Using the PIKO design as a basis I have come up with the following mock-up. I'm hoping to use my new crimper to provide cladding for the roof and possibly the walls. Has anybody any tips for sticking this to foam board (silicone?); and how about painting tin foil, is there any way to make it take spray paint? The foil will be from pound shop trays. Thanks to everyone that makes this site so good, I don't post much but read lots.
PS Happy Christmas from me and the white dog in the snow.

Looking very promising and a cool idea :)
I think I'd be looking to use something like UHU all-purpose adhesive, something that's pretty sticky but doesn't melt the foam board... Silicon might not 'grab' the foil?

Re:fish gravel works

Rough up the Alloy sheets with 600 wet and dry and paint with a good acid etch primer and then top coat and it will be just fine........

Re:fish gravel works

Thanks James - you maybe right about "grab". I also found to my cost that evostick super "stick anything underwater etc" wonder glue was a let down. Perhaps I bought that crimper for nothing - I prefer working with plastic anyway. perhaps I should head off to back to bay6 for some of his corrogated sheets.
Just been reading the Rugens thread - lovely. You're neater with plasticard than I'll ever be!
Thanks guys - I own a glue gun - never thought of that! A can of acid etch has been ordered. Let's hope Lydney pound shop isn't overrun with Xmas shoppers tomorrow.
