G Gauge/Scale Search criteria in eBay

Only sold a couple of item on eBay since the change and break from PayPal, and as you say it is hard work, but is there another viable route, especially for items like Garden Railway items.

OK thanks for that. Here is a link to the loco on Ebay if anyone is interested. It cost £1.600 bought new two months ago. I am asking £1,300. I don't know if I am being unrealistic. Is there another forum that I should post it on? LGB 21480 Marklin G Gauge G Scale Deutsche Reichsbahn VII K 2-10-2T Loco | eBay I attach a photo of the loco, together with some of the rest of the collection, which I will be disposing of.

Seems fairly reasonable to me considering how new it is? I sent you a message about some of your other items too.

Ebay is completely off the rails now. All the filters show many of the wrong scaled items even if you use them. I suspect facebook marketplace has killed a lot of their buisness and they havent been able to adapt very well

Yes I agree about Ebay. It took them a week to send two "micropayments" so that they can allow me to confirm the details of my bank account. They fell out with Paypal big time, it seems. Clearly they are not in a hurry to do business. So sad, as they were once a great platform to buy and sell. "How are the mighty fallen........"

Afraid I've had a couple of bad experiences selling and buying with ebay, unless its something rare that I am particularly interested in buying I tend to treat most things for with caution.

Personally this forum is where I would go if I have anything spare to let go.

There is some link to PP, if you use EB pre paid postage, that is collected on behalf of the Post Office via PP and the labels printed in EB. Did it, got it wrong and will never indulge in that silly experiment again!

I use Paypal on ebay - no problems! However, as mentioned by others, it is a farce finding stuff! If I'm not sure of the correct name for a particular item, I try and Google it so I have the "correct" name or description.

This is a search I use in google (other search sites available)

ebay "g,, gauge",, "g,, scale" "tram" "streetcar"

It does bring up a couple of non tram related items, but its proving a lot easier than using ebay to search for items.
