Gap filler and/or surface coating for pvc?

I'm going to need something to fill gaps on my pvc foam board structure, and I may also want to coat it with something. I think the ideal solution would be something with a paste-like consistency that can be smeared over the surface, and rubbed into gaps, then sanded smooth. But if necessary I could use something like epoxy putty for gap filling, and some other material for coating the surface.

Can anyone here recommend something for either, or both, of these purposes?

Would body filler work for you?

I don't know, I've never tried it on pvc.

Presumably we are talking for exterior use???
To fill gaps I'd use plastibond or similar can be sanded when set or even carved when it gets to the semi set stage....
To coat the surface if you desired a texture type finish any of the exterior grade " render finishes" I would however not reccomend "liquid sandstone" very hard to apply and its so fake looking it looks fake...
Otherwise I did try with great results a coat of aliphatic resin ( sold as waterproof PVA) and while still wet sift fine sand over that and then let the excess fall off, let it dry, turn to the next side repeat etc and then paint with flat exterior grade paint of your choice..... now for really exceptionally realistic looking G scale brick or stone give the board a coat of grey exterior paint and then line in the courses with 1/32" line tape, cover with the pervious suggestions, peel off the tape and presto...
The PVC on this board, well the bit I had a play with has been "oxidised" to allow things to stick to it.....
