Was in Steves shop Saturday very nice it looked but if i had the money i would of loved the loco on the other shelf a Accucraft C-19 #340 MINT

yep thats the price of materials and exchange rate for you,,,,,,

ahhhhh the good old days of 2 dollars to one pound eh!!

ahhhhhhhhh sooooooooohhhh thats why!!!!

i would love a c19,, this would be my second choice as 41 is my primary target

but if one came along at silly to refuse price then who knows,,,

pot is well and trully empty after rgs 20

no not seen it,,,, but its too early for me,,, 1940s rgs,,,,,,,

and live steam scares me,,, not the running,,, but the price!! and id probably get drunk and forget to put water in and end up with a large crater for a garden etc,,,,

live steam 7/8 0n the other hand,,,,,,,, hmmmmmm nice,, warming to the idea,,

i think theres only rgs 20, 455 post crash ,, 41 and 42 in the period 45 to 48 ish

461 and 74 were later

theres not many b man rgs455s around at the mo,,,, and none s/h,,,,

and rgs 41s are rare,,,

but luckily i have 20 which once repaired will get a sunrise logo and mild weathering i think

no i think it was the othe way round,,, it finished with the film logos but mid forties it was sunrise

and pimped in 47

"Silver San Juan" by Mallory Hope Ferrell says that No. 20 ran in September of 1949 for a stock train wearing her " Ticket to Tomahawk " movie paint scheme. The No. 74 had broken an engine spring and the No. 20 was called to fill in. This was the last major operation for the Rio Grande Southern .

At the Colorado Railroad Museum when the light was just right , you could see the outline of the painting on the tender underneath the black that was put on later. No. 20 is now in Strausburg , Pennsylvania having a major overhaul. When the Museum gets it back it will be like " New " again. The Museum will get to operate No. 20 under steam again when that happens.
