I don't quite understand what you are suggesting? Isn't the product an accurate scale model? [Ah - you are being cynical about the scale, as I was!]
Does anyone know if it is 1/32nd scale? I would imagine a museum would be very concerned about accurate scale!

Yes, sorry, I was being cynical - LGB are renowned for a 'rubber' ruler when it comes to scale

That's a great example of the very real difference in loading gauge between continental North American locos, in this case the SD45, and another locomotive, built at in London ON, the Class 66 for UK and Europe. They are seen here in the same 1/29th scale....
