grs double fairlie build

;D love the kits - but not the instructions - defo not airfix also they do take a fair bit of engineering
I'll agree with that statement having built one of their L&B Manning Wardle's and a rake of coaches to go with it. On the MW you have to assemble and fettle all the motions to boot. Put in the preparation work and they will come out fine. That looks like a lot of filling you are having to do on that white metal cab casting.

Take a look at Phoenix Precision Paints site. They do a range of waterslide "lining". Not cheap but I bought a pack to use on my scratchbuilt L&B "what if" Mallett. Meant for larger scales than 16mm but are still pretty fine and will look less obtrusive than "trimline" tape types. Or are you using a lining pen ?

Max.

This is the locomotive I´ve dreamed about ;D Alright, understood. Back to the workbench :-[

Very .. err... gloss! Have yet to find anywhere that dust free!

Looking really good Mark.  ;D
A couple of photos of the prototype for reference, one in black and unfinished (only one bogie was finished) and one a couple of years later in current F.R. livery.
