I was breaking it down by group... don't want to be racist...
check wikipedia for more detail and you will see what I am saying...

It breaks down by part of the UK, and it also breaks down by some races in the us, since we have some distinct populations...

With good track laying and slow running that should never happen, but early German made LGB would suffer little damage if it did.

Re falling off I fed wire crossed between the dowls all round the two section with out are so I can put a loco on the track
 
Only made it as I hate the cold and wanted to run a loco while in my man cave

Right here in the Central Hoosier Flatlands, we have a restaurant owned and operated by one of our club members. He has had a G Gauge train running around the room, and over the grill, for several decades. It is supported on closet storage shelves.

I need to drop in for another one of his highly acclaimed, world famous "Onion Burgers" and find out how often he has to clean the track. As I remember our last conversation with a waitress, she said it "does not need cleaning very often".

I can imagine grease and dust in the air from a Restraunt even with efficient extras=ction fans could make cleaning a regular feature.

So woui, but in a previous thread on a similar subject, it was said it wasn't too much of an issue. Mind you the idea of a train going round a restaurant seems a much nicer way to keep people amused than a big screen telly

Indeed so but it would I think depend on the type or restaurant, the one in this thread appears to have the cooking area just below the line which is likely to cause gunk getting to the rails easier.
