Just joined ;-)

Made a start the other day, managed to pick up a battery powered christmas train set. Very basic, loco, tender and one carrage. Local garden center is train themed, they had some festive sets left over from the Christmas sales and were selling them off cheap.
Got it for £45, it was originally £99.
At the moment trying to sort out some straight track, as all I have at the moment is curves.
Its a start.

Probably should have started a new thread for this, will do next visit.

Hello,
My name is Joe (aka Sparky Joe). Joined today to add to my knowledge base. I've been G gauge railroading about 5 years now. I have a small railroad named HDRR. I do a lot of YouTube videos to document my progress. On YouTube I use the nom de guerre Sam Colt. Take a look at my railroad if you like. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmcf8bIebZRP3ZEUJKEo71A/videos

Welcome Joe!
Didn't have time to do more than a quick glance at a couple of your videos, but looks like you have a fun and practical layout there.

There's certainly a knowledge base on here..... in fact much of our knowledge could very well be described as "base"......

Jon.
