The viaduct is looking a bit tired. So a gentle word in one of my customers ear produced this.

It will have to be very narrow gauge to get a train over that Phil.
What is it? T gauge...................................?8|

Looks Brilliant Phil

All CNC cut. The arch to the right is for the rack to go under .So some serious civil engineering breaking out over the winter period.
BTW anybody want to buy a 12foot viaduct before the whizzer goes through it ??:rolf::rolf::rolf:

No thanks. I suspect it would be very lumpy. &:

It's 50mm at the top, just about paving stone thickness. After all it only a toy train going over it

Cool. it will be a pretty thin bit of conrete at the top of the arch. very elegant.

its going to look ace phil!

Ran out of machining time so the second former must wait till later on next week. Think it'll be a daywhen they want their sander repairing:bigsmile:

Been working on the plugs for the windows.

Phil, paving slabs dont use the big stones you usually find in concrete. They use a much finer aggregate. Easiest way to mimic this is to add a bit of sharp sand to the aggregate when mixing. The extra fine material helps fill holes.

Alan thanks for the info.
I was already adding extra sand as i intend lining the shutter with pastic stone sheet and provided that its tamped ok should fill the outline of bricks

Had the other former machined today. Above the big arch had two more "windows " put in.
Pictures tomorrow
