Just arrived and up on the test rollers to check everything out - from Austria via German eBay, a black (Rugen markings) Sachsen IVk (24841) professionally fitted with Massoth XLS sound, a high-output Massoth pulsed smoker and an axle-mounted chuff sensor! Second-hand, but little used by the look of the minimal skate and wheel wear - and a good couple of hundred quid cheaper than the second-hand ones I've recently seen listed by UK dealers, WITHOUT the extras like the pulsed smoke. To ship from Austria, the seller charged me a mere 14 euros (about twelve quid!) for a parcel weighing in at 8kg. :bigsmile:

It's always a nail-biting time waiting for something like this to arrive and hoping that it will a) travel safely and b) measure up to the description - especially when the seller has to be paid by bank transfer rather than Paypal - but so far I've trusted my instincts and not been ripped off yet; suffice to say I'm very happy with this one! :thumbup:

Thanks, Dan and Mike - yes, very chuffed (pun intended :bigsmile: ), even with the poor Euro rate at the moment it is still considerably cheaper to buy from ebay.de in many cases!
I've got a factory-sound green IVk that I bought new in about 2004, but I've been looking for a nice-but-affordable black one for a while now.
