Yeah, one of the 00 manufacturers is bringing out a model of the 'entire' train as part of the 70 years celebrations.

The storyline is slightly bizzare as the train allegedly travels some distance through fields and stuff without any railway track, but it is viewed as a classic of British film comedy :nod:

I love the film , because its a battle between different types of transport, trains traction engines ,buses ect set in a *perfect world* in some small way its what my entire garden railway is based on..
Canale boats, locks , .. railway..road lorry and buses.. set in a perfect world ..1950s-1960s Lancashire...

Had a idea..dangerous I know ..but the wheel base lines up..20230327_090109.jpg

Damp day, shed day...folded a 3mm sheet of foamex in 1/2..=6mm pavement, marking out the flags...20230328_132211.jpg

Trip to see my mate Paul.. fitting a xls in the wizzy cranks...now sorted..
Pavement got a coat of gray...
Had a light bulb moment with the cheap Chinese led lamps...my problem being they are O gauge..and thin brass tube..no base .no way of fixing them in to the pavement.
But by removing the plunger...and dropping a penny washer on the syringe..open the needel hole up a bit..well..you get the idea
Time will tell..20230329_140956.jpg20230329_161607.jpg20230331_141722.jpg20230406_120147.jpg20230406_150811.jpg

If it works it will be..
Sun was out...so I removed the low retaining wall, and tried the pavement, for fit/size...then I could position the last lamppost...and wire them up..central hub
Then fit the Empire Cinema..

I see you have a number of French cars on the streets. Who are/were they made by (the model not the car itself!)?
