That pick-up looks so damn good too:thumbup:

cheers guys , mick, the pick up was a gift from a mate when i weathered a lgb loco for him, its slighty over sized ,1/18th scale, but looks ok if kept away from the other 1/24 scale stuff...hot day out, trimed me bushes..sandy arived just in time for a brew and a chat..sneak inspection off the cobbles..the lgb gas lamp company instaled 5 more today, 2 at the bus stop, and 3 around the market site. had a idea for the bolards to go around the market..asda biro pens, pondering

:q25: thought id post this, it might help.. after repaireing several trackcleaning loocs over the years, i think i can honestly say its a cracking bit off kit, IF YOU LOOK AFTER IT..no names ,no pack drill..ecti recomend that you REGULARLY check behind the cleaning wheels, i do mine, every 3 run.. i run mine for a hour at a time. so every 3 hours worth off off cleaning. it dosnt take long ,it WILL prolong the life off the loco, and SAVE YOU MONEY>>turn the loco upside down, remove the surporting bar, 2 philips screwspull the cleaning motor ,back towards the cab.. till the 2 retaining lugs, clear the boddy ..lift out the cleaning mottor block, remove the flat head screw, and remove the cleaning wheel ..just like you would, to change a cleaning wheel.. after beeing used, the nylon black plastic wheels, de laminate..they become, nylon string.. this, raps around the axles.. traped between the wheel, and the motor block, it builds up, into a larger mass. it gets hot, as its causeing friction.. melts, and is pulled into the ball bearing axle asembly, by capillary action.. were it sets.. back into nyloin.. this in turn leeds to the claeaning motor, reqiiureing more power to operate.. this leads to a catastrpoic failure off the main electrical system.. a blown main bord, a burnt out motor, and a seased up ball bearing axles asembly.£££££££...or you can just clean out the nyloin string and save your self, some greif, and a lot off money.. its up to you :q26:

All you need now is a spur into the kitchen :rolf::rolf::rolf::rolf:

:cool:forced my self to eat a tub off icecream.. needed the container, for use in the protection off a lgb switch drive..which i fitted today.. wired up the points in the coal yard, and wired in the trainline point motor, it will motorise the wheel chock, on to the rail, when the leading point into the yard, is set against it.. and off when the point is set for..also got the cocktail staires for me bolards.. nice day to run trains..

haveing the imagination to use stuff is great matthew,..no.1 dishwashers-emmas here ,so the build has slowed.. today i was fixing down bushes..bought a plastic topraie ball from a garden center.. split it, and pulled off the plastic leaves, they make great bushes..fixed down with a screw ..

today i felt .like makeing the limet of shunt ,markers , i have used my favoiurt cocktail staires, useing the ball end.. a coat off white paint, and a red splash.. drill a simialr sizes hole in the basebord.. and job done ,got abit more off the plastic folage fixed down.. had the wanagro red desile running, but it kept stalling on a point.. multi metter out.. point was ok..checked again, still stalling.. so turned my atention to the little shunter, fliped it over, one skate wasnt showing a conection with the multimeter..and it was stuck, no movement.. so after striping down the motorblock, wheels outy, bullets out, it seems that the moulding that holds the skate, had ,deformed.. i finally got the skate out, the spring, seemed fused to the plastic.. drilled out the moulding, new skate, new spring, rebuild.. test with mulitmeter.. now works fine
