Lazy Grange Bay 3...a new start

not qiute ian..
re asembled the coache the original eletronics bord still woirks.. covered in dead spiders and rust, but still funtioning.. exteded the fly leads to the boggies, second hand lgb pick up wheels were fitted, repaceing the old brushes.. the wheels were cleaned, and the best off the 4 used ..i think to be honest they need replaceing, as the cromes worn through, and the shoulders are showing signs off excess wear.. so 2 set of second hand wheels extra.. after re asmebly, the windows polished up, and the lighting tested, im reasionally happy,, they are never going to match new coaches, but they wernt bought too do that.. they were bought on price, condition ,to run, and look like well used old coaches..now they are up to Lazy Grange Bays standards, they can ..
passengers are on the way..

They look really good after a clean mate. Quite like the "worn" look. So the glazing was just dirty and not frosted? Excellent result.:thumbup:

Run a lead from the baggage van? That's newer isn't it?:thinking:

not a ideal soluition for me ian.. num fingers mean im terible with small fiddle leeds ect.. much better to run each coach from track power directly.. got feelers out for replacement.bords/repairs..pondering hacking a massoth lighting bord

They're a nice looking trio. Nice big windows so that what's inside can easily be seen. By the way, it looks as though you solved the glazing issue as far as getting them clean. There is a product advertised on TV over here that is supposed to restore headlight lenses to "Like New". You guys most likely have something similar. "Call within the next twenty minutes and we'll double your order. Not availe in stores".

Coaches have scrubbed up OK mate. We all love a bargain.

Been dying to see em but only been able to get on forum at work the past few days and our new web filter blocks piccys on the forum. Well I wonder whose bright idea it was to upgrade our web filter eh?:bigsmile:

Oh well, glad I've caught up now. Top job on the bogs too mate :thumbup:
