LGB 2-4-0

Is it the card that is damaged, or the connector between loco and tender? - Which is a common problem.

Ooops!

Now, if you look on the other side of the component, we should be able to work out the component, and source a replacement..

Can you post a photo of the other side of the broken off piece, please?

There should be markings printed on the black epoxy body of the component.

The image is not clear enough to read the markings on the ringed IC.

Either a clearer close up, or are you able read the markings of the IC and post the details.

It looks to me as if it has dislodged from the 3 pins marked Q1 next to the Black part labelled DB107. Looking at previous picture of the board complete by The Shed The Shed post#47 would appear to confirm that to my eye.
 
All I know is it do not work and will pay to have it fixed , I do not know what part it is and not know any think about it, I just want it working .

As you are happy to pay to get your loco repaired, have you tried P&S Hobbies in York, or Chalk Garden Rail....
 
NO but I will now, I joined this forum to get help and advice not to bost I have something the next man not have , I know nothing. please help ...
