Yebbut, wait for it, these are only models of the replicas that were prepared for the centenary celebrations - I have a book that tells me a bit more of the locos' histories. Neither were at the original golden spike ceremony, and I don't think either of 'em were 100 years old at the centenary. One came from the V&T via Ward kimball I thinkWell the missing Golden Spike locos are on the website, sort of.

Well at least the blower was a niche and very different model, more in line with the Aster and other specials like the Meyers of old.
The Classic 4-4-0 would surely have made sense in the main range too so this just seems odd. Maybe they can do a ‘budget’ plastic version in a year or two for €800

I was slightly adrift - the Nevada Central's #5 was re-painted as the CP's Jupiter while Nevada Central's #6 stood in for the UP's #119

Think I will Buy 3 sets one for display one to run on my indoor layout and one for my outdoor layout. Now for busy day at air traffic control here at the pig farm

Well, someone was prepared to spend £69k on some broken glassI don’t think it’s even been on yet Jon, it was showing that when it appeared. Unless there are 250 people dotty enough to spend 8 grand on something they haven’t seen.
