LGB Chen loco problems

I havent had this lump action. And i love to see how slowly i can run these.


But.....i typically run these in fairly nice weather. I could see the rather stiff delrin or nylon or whatever belt retaining an oval shape in cold weather and dont know if this relevant to lumpiness.

Fwiw, i have found that a touch of teflon grease on the belts helps. Less noise. And, no issuesvwith damage to the belt.
 
My Chloe and Olomana (belt drive) are silky-smooth at low speed, it's part of their charm. A friend has the O&K, and that's nice and smooth as I recall.
