How do you keep that + motor pin in place with the motor terminal pin..........I don't see a solder joint between the two pieces?

The motor pushes in exactly the same way as a 4 pin block. The block is now a standard 4 pin block. No soldering required. The little bit of white wire is only to stop the pin from turning.
