Li-po / Lith Ion batteries in parallel

Re:Li-po batteries in parallel

Hi folks
I think they must be Lith-ion - my son-in-law (a very recent acquisition) has just sent me a picture of my battery:

which maybe explains some of the confusion on the Chinese chap's website ie - Super polymer lithium-ion (whatever that might be) - but I suppose it's really just a Lith-ion with a slightly fancy name.

It does say on the eBay page
"We don't offer pattern choice - Your order will be sent in patterns at random"
which suggests they have a high turnover in suppliers and send out whatever battery they have which fits the description.

However, back to the original discussion and I assume that provided it meets the 12v 6800mAh criteria then it will do the job whatever they decide to call it.

In my experience Rik, this applies purely to the size of the battery, not the type.

Rik, that oughta power two motors without any sweat at all for about 6 weeks solid running :rolf::rolf:

My Bachmann 1:20.3 GE 45 Ton side rod has two motors, pulls 3 bogie wagons plus a bogie brass caboose and runs on 14.4 v AAs (eneloop type) at about 3000 mAh.
