All I have done is to take the working bit off and grease the screws as they are what is likely to rust on these. Then when the Battery goes pop in about 18 Months time I should be able to replace it OK. LED alleged to have 25000 hours life though I suspect the spinny thing will go before that or perhaps it may be a Flasshing Led, must take a closer look.

The spinning bit still goes when the sun comes out, but the light doesn't come on - so maybe it could be the batteries. Mine's about 15 month old.

Oh so I just looked at it in the dark and it is spinning so there must be a Motor inside somewhere. Not bad for rechargeable AA. BUT now I need to look at it in the daytime to see if it is spinning, pretty sure mine does not on the charging cycle. But thanks for the thing I need to remember tomorrow Mick!

So I looked at it today and mine does not spin during Daylight only when the Led is alight at night.

In that case, I think mine needs a good dose of "looking at"!:)
