Lights flickering in LGB 30766 Passenger Car

I have a number of LGB RHB passenger cars with interior lights and one of the 30676 cars interior lights started flickering. I also see sparking between the wheels and the track. I’m running DCC with the Marklin CS3+ controller.
I assume that a power cap went out on the LGB lighting control board on this car but wanted to see if anyone has experienced this issue. Also, is it possible to order a new LGB lighting control board for the 30676 car?

One thing may be that your carriage wheels could do with a clean, the LGB Smoke Oil (or equivalent) is pretty good for this

As you are running DCC, have you considered fitting a decoder with 2min power buffer?

These decoders are designed as a direct fit into the type of coach you have, and have various lighting options such as simulated fluorescent lighting along with a second output which can be used for either a tail light or even a toilet light. I'm using these in most of my RhB coaches now, but the only thing to note is that they give out a very accurate 5v, whereas the LGB factory boards seem to vary around 6-7volts, so the lamps will be dimmer. To get round this, I've started changing over to LED lighting, so no more lamp failures and overall less current draw on the track.

I was searching for the LGB 3067 light controller and ran across the mixon controller on Amazon . Based on your recommendation I ordered one to test.
Thanks

I ordered some led lights with DCC control. You can use 1 address for 8 cars. F1 for first car, F2 for second car etc.

Does amazing little trains ship to the US?

I ordered an MTS-line controller but it did not come with a wiring diagram or instructions. Does anyone have experience with this control board? See attached photo.

Takes track voltage in and provides a 5V DC output for car lights. Two cables go to wheel contacts on each bogie (these cables are electrically connected in parallel) and one cable goes to the car light bus..... it should be easy yo determine which is which from visual observation. The switch is provided to turn the car lights off.

Not 100% convinced it is a Massoth product?

Two sets of wires will go to the black round thing in the middle. - Possibly via the switch?
These are the input wires from wheel pickups.

The other pair of wires will go to your LEDs / bulbs.

A photo of the underside of the board might help?

<EDIT >
OR......
There is one pair of wires from pickups, and two to lights in the vehicle..

That makes sense. Thanks!

I purchased an mXion coach lighting decoder but need help on how to program it. I have a CS3+, a Massoth pc module, and an ESU decoder.
Which decoder and setting do I need to use to recognize the mXion board?

Just in case it's gone into your junk folder, I've replied to your email this evening with some programming tips :)
