Fred means the backs/insides of the wheels Steve.

Also, is your track clean? Little Critter only has 4 wheels, whereas most of your other locos have 8....

If you still aren't sure, post us a picture of the underside of Little Critter and we will show you....

ahhh...what can i do with it? fine sandpaper or ?.....hw??

no ,use a track rubber

:rolf:put the sand papper down.. walk away form it...

my lil critters suffer from the same problems. the silver coating is coming off the wheels revealing copper in colour. the wheels are appaling on these locos for picking up dirt. not best impressed with them right now. shouldn't have to clean the wheels every 10 laps of my circuit!

Re:little critter is WORN OUT!!!...BUT TIME to change into DUMMY lil critter...

it time for me to take his worn out wheels and motor out to keep in case for doing something else in the new yr as it will be change INTO dummy critter,,bless him....i dont mind at all........loves dummy locos,switcher,etc.....save hassle......

WILL use him for joining my mad max nw-2 to pull him behind nw-2 for fun to keep him happy and aslo sometime want to rest at junkyard express while he chilled out......

Re:little critter is WORN OUT!!!...BUT TIME to change into DUMMY lil critter...

I've got a BP lil critter and apart from still being a bit nervous when it's by the pond :D it's one of my best runners

[align=center]Get a battery wired up to the loco and set it running you will then see how better it works,

some of these have plugs already fitted, but cheaper to use what the radio controll aeromodellers use,

cos the track is dirty (no offence but brass track is always dirty) the extra current being drawn causes sparks wich make the brass weld onto the wheels, thats what the brown rings are, also a radio controller can be got for next to nowt, and they are very easy to use, batteries are cheap from a burglar alarm shop, there will be one that will fit inside, this pic shows a 12volt one in the bonnet of 44tonner thats a lot smaller than a critter bonnet
