little critter having A PROBLEM!!!...BUT nice switcher..

There is hope for the owners of track powered lil critters and other Aristo 2 and 3 axle diesel locos, eventually Stainless Steel replacement wheel sets will arrive. They were listed on the Bachmann UK web site earlyer this year as likely to be avilable from July/Aug, then Oct/Nov now December/Jan at £41.00 for a set of four. Thats quite a lot even for a critter.

I have one Critter plus an RS3and three U25bs all have wheels with varying degrees of ware. The older more worn ones definiatly have more of a problem with dirt. In desperation and dispare at the delay and the cost searching the web I came across NWSL in the States, now part of a publishing company, 16 Nickle-Silver wheels, enough for 2 U boats at 104 dollars plus £19.20 import tax, they have made a big diference.

I have also used NWSL wheels and found them very good but pricey, in fact I am getting new wheel sets made for some of my locos even tho they are battery /track powered as I want wheels without the traction tyre,I got fed up waiting for anyone else to make them, plus as the cost of these factory made ones is higger than the cost of the locos I dont think they will be rushing these out for christmas ,, at the moment all my track powered locos have the newer type axle which has a seperate wheel, these run better than the old plated ones,
