Live Steam in the Garden! - Regner Konrad

That's a well known problem with Peco points Jon, but I have never heard of it on an R3.
Girly nail varnish seems to be the treatment for Peco points - seems to work.
I recall visiting the Three Counties Group of the GSS a good few years ago and locos with skates often tripped their LGB MTS system when traversing LGB R3s.

The East Midlands group sorted Peco points by converting to live frog.

It also improved their performance with short wheelbase locos. Mind you they short out if you try to trail through an incorrectly set point

Regner locomotives with a rake of 29 wagons.image.jpeg The Regner Konrad is a powerful little beastie, we had one at the CFR on Sunday and it pulled 29 Accucraft wagons without difficulty. Sadly I only took a picture of Konrad when it was double heading.

All my Peco have been modified to Live Frogs. A slow laborious task but well worth the effort.

Had her out and about again. Must say it great to run Live Steam on a Clear and Crisp Winter Evening... ;)
Callum that first shot with the Mendip Hills in the background is a corker, you are so lucky to have such a vista.
