Making a copy of a Prototype Pic on your Railway. Lets see loads please

That is truly mind blowing. Your loco is so similar in every detail to the prototype. And even down to the 2 passengers on the platform.
I had looked at trying to do a steam engine pic but the steam effect always eluded me - you solved it with an original cut off at the chimney.

Peter, nice pic of a lovely model.

Sorry I tried to say this as nicely as I can. But I do not think you fully have the concept of this thread. There is supposed to be a Prototyp Pic to compare your Model Pic with, can you do this?

Tried another of these yesterday. Dougln has been over for a few days and found this picture that he liked. So we did our best to replicate it. Not quite right, but it is really difficult from a front view to get the right angles etc. still fun nonetheless. We had fun creating it and some views included of the Train trundling round the Garden.

The real thing is what happens when a Railcar failes, they put out a Kamel with ine Coach and a Van.

2 attempts to replicate the above, at Alexisbad first then Silberuhutte.

At the start of the process waiting to leave Gernrode then around the line.

Very good Jon, An unusual case where the prototype looks less weathered than the model! :-)

Another of my efforts tried today. My Magdesprung is not a scratch build of the real site. Plus when the original was taken there were 3 through Roads. Also the Loco was probably one of the original 0-6-0's not a Mallett. But what the heck. First time I tried some peeps in my shot.image.jpegimage.jpeg

Another of my efforts, been looking for the Real thing Pic for ages then remembered where it might be, it was!

Only problem with this one is that I do not have one of the Low Steel Wagons. But you get the idea, remarcably difficult to get the Angles correct even when the pic of the real thing is next to the set up scene. At least none of you should feel guilty with a Harz 2-10-2 draging round just 1 Wagon. Yes this was a real train departing from Ilfeld to Nordhausen back in the 1980's. Judging by the Coupling Bar on the platform I guess this was the return of a Rollblock or Rollwagen working that had worked from Nordhausen to one of the Factories in the Ilfeld area earlier in the morning.

Nice indoor detailing and backdrop. It's very hard to simulate outdoor lighting on an indoor shot. Yes there were often short trains (one wagon, one baggage car, one rollwagen) on east German narrow gauge.

Awesome photos everyone. I'm trying to catch-up on the great threads I missed on here. I have a question. Is it cool to like and post on old threads? Or should I just look and move on? Not sure if it's cool to move them back up the list...

A like does bring it back to life I believe, plus your like brings me ever closer to that magic 2000!
