Mine buildings

British narrow gauge (esp. Southwold and W&LLR)
Country flag
It's taken me some time but I've very nearly finished the low relief buildings for the copper mine.

There are basically three sections (each about a metre long) - the loading hopper and conveyor - the crusher building with minimum gauge feeder from the mine and the workshops. There's also a couple of office buildings thrown-in for good measure.

I'm presently, tweaking and adding the finer details (which actually seems to be taking longer than the actual build)

Here's the minimum gauge feeder (those skips look a bit too pristine at the moment!)

The hopper and conveyor (which is probably a bit too steep - but I'm exercising modellers' licence!)

And finally a view along the sidings

Hopefully, when the laurel hedge grows back it will disguise the thinness of the buildings, but at least it looks better than nothing.

Wow, thanks chaps - don't think I've ever had any stars before. Are they like greenshield stamps (showing my age here)? Can I cash them in for a Ryan Air flight to somewhere exotic?

Got to be worth an article for that Gorton chappie Rik? ;);)
Thanks Mel and thanks for the previous compliments. I was wondering whether to share my dabblings through Tag's organ (perhaps I should rephrase that). I'll maybe have a go at putting something together and see how it looks.

Thanks for that. I spent a while experimenting with finishes for the corrugated iron and am quite pleased with how it worked out.

Not quite cracked reproducing weathered wood, though.

Blooming marvelous Rik.

Excellent and effective scenery.

You have given me the impetuous to add more weathering to my Quarry area.

I can see that you are creating something wonderful here. Very much on the lines of Peter Jones work, you have added your own signature here also. Top notch stuff.

How do you Operate your line? Timetable with the Ore going to somewhere meaningful and empties back? Or is that to be the next stage?

Great stuff 150 out of 100.
