This is an easy conversion and allows fitting to a RH engine with no unsightly drilling
The Accucraft chopper comes apart easily by ondoing the nut from the bottom of, and removing the hook
the spring may fly out and end up under the skirting [can't reveal how I know this]

next find a suitable bolt, nut and washer - this one was from a 13 amp socket
the head may need to be dremelled

so that the spring fits comfortably over

Remove the RH buffer
bolt the chopper base to the buffer beam

I found it easier to remove the pony truck first

reassemble chopper, ensure spring is located on bolt head and the lug on the back of the chopper
insert hook through aligned holes and fasten with nut

Much, much better solution than the superglue I've used to attach all mine!

Thank you. I shall resolve to not be such a bodger in future.

glad to be of assistance

Nice,

Ive threid to fit ACC couplers in the past but the hole must be in the spot where RH have this slot in the bufferbeam. The purpose of it is to fit a LGB hook-loop.

So i need to bend a strip of brass and solder the ACC coupler onto. Better make a sort of jig to get it right first time.
You will need to take the whole bufferbeam of the loco in order to locate the fixing hole as the distance to the back of the beam various on different RH models.
