My first garden railway

Nice to see some trains running at the start of a new season. You certainly look after your railway, it looks as good as when it was first built.

Thanks Dave I do try my best to look after it cant take all the credit the wife helps with alot of the gardening side of things. I see your keeping busy with your outdoor

Do you ever look at something and think why did I do that. I was in the garden looking at the railway and thought if I move those points I can get another 3 feet of siding in there, so off to the shed and I even had some spare track, so why didn't I do it in the first place,

So the railway has been treated to its first ever new build building, the original station building has been relocated to the pond/lake here are some pics from today.

Ah but when you do it will be superb, think of all the wonderful leftovers from the House work that will contribute to your new line.

So I have treated myself to a new loco so just a quick snap of it on its first run

So first nice day in what seems forever and some spare time so why not

So been a busy weekend with another new building for the railway, so the railway now has an engine shed / maintenance depo. A few more details to be added outside a workshop has to have some junk outside or no work is being done.

Made a few bits for outside the engine out of stuff out the scrap box, feel like I need some drums and maybe a coal storage bunker.

Making use of the surprisingly nice weekend, even had chance to go through all my buildings making sure all the lights still work for the darker evenings.

Not alot has happened with the railway with so much going on building new decking and other projects to keep the wife happy, but at least I have somewhere nice to sit and watch the trains. Unfortunately in march last year we had to say goodbye to Jack the border collie and station master. Eventually in September a new candidate joined us he needs some training to get up to speed, so this is Frank the trainee station master
