You can never have too many brake/parcels vans...
Absolutely right mate. :bigsmile::bigsmile:

Pretty much finished now. The parcels van spent the night in the roof jig, so this morning I painted the roof, made and fitted steps from plasticard and wire, door fastenings, and made some vacuum pipes. I also re-painted the door handles black as they looked like some kind of punctuation marks in between the letters. Looks a bit shiney in the full sun.

But a bit more like it in partial shade.

Only things left to do are a coat of varnish for the roof and a light weathering of the chassis next time I've got the airbrush out. Hopefully I'll be able to get some better photos in service if the weather behaves itself over the next couple of days.

looking good
I like the plasticard and wire idea for the steps
I keep knocking my running boards off my coaches - attached by L shaped plasticard
how do you locate and fix the wire to the board and vehicle?

Very nice:thumbup:

Because the bodywork is made from ply Paul, there was room to drill small holes in the bottom edge and stick the wire supports into the holes, secured with super glue.

should be able to do the same with mine as there are a few layers of plasticard in the chassis

absolutely, v clear thanks
will have a go at the weekend
btw the grain on the parcels van looks fine, esp in the shade, so I imagine will look even better when you have weathered it

Very good Mel.

Looks the part, as always.

Ace, just ace.

Superb, Mel, just superb.
It would be great to see your lovely line one day as, even though it is Brit outline, it just makes me want to change from yank....well almost!

When being dirty really is the right thing. Great job:thumbup:
