New engine shed for Aaron

minimans

Trains, Planes, Automobiles & Shooting
-After building the Pola engine shed I got a request from my girlfriend Elisa's young nipper Aaron for a shed for his diesel so at the weekend we took a trip to Home Depot for supplies and this is the result. I was planning on a single engine shed but somehow it seemed to grow as it went! as we had bought an 8X4 sheet of Luan there was plenty to build with! Windows are just openings with plastic screen material and the roof is a simple lift off affair to allow playing with the interior and trains I have already been requested to make work benches and tool box's for the willing shirkers!!

Decent size that Paul - and a really worthwhile project! I think its great that the lad requested his own engineshed and that you were able to come up with the goods. I would think its a satisfying experience all round.

Nice sized shed Paul, but I hate to point this out mate . . . . . . those aren't diesels!

nicly done paul!

Top job, kiddie-proof and, well blow me down, just the right length for an LGB starter train
Wots the white XK in the background?

No, No there not but then again they A'int exactly steam engines either!!

Brilliant. The lad (and you) need another diesel now.
What exactly is luran Paul? The grain effect looks a bit like the old Formica, but that had a 'posh' side as far as I remember.

Not Luran but Luan it's a trade name for 3 ply door skin material so thin plywood is what it is!

Cheers.
