A new loco arrived a few weeks ago in the form of Thomas, original plan was to remove face and paint him but mum wants Thomas to stay, so stay he shall... until shes not looking
Nice one George! you know you could leave him as Thomas without a problem. I think most of the preserved lines have a Thomas don't they? or at least once a year they do..........................
Of all the model Thomas,s I have seen he looks like the illustrations in The Rev Audreys books hes cute very nice George ! The chassis has a lot of possibilities one is an Austerity saddle tank Jame intrigues me. Also i am about to buy some Annie and Clarabels and rebuild tosee what I can do! Yeah George he,s Great !!!
I've only seen the Bachmann Thomas on exhibition layouts and it's always been taking off like a scolded cat and lapping faster than Jenson Button. Is this a characteristic of the model, or is he actually quite controllable George and maybe exhibitors think that this is what the kids want to see?

He seems very controllable so i think it must be just the exhibitors making him fly round like Mallard, although you do have to be careful not to turn up the controller as much as some LGB locos when starting him from a stop as he seems to use far less amps
haha thanks guys, im not sure, with the electric locos i usualy pose them and take several the train from one or two different angles then see which is best on the computer though obviusly its a bit more differcult with the live steam loco if you want steam coming out the funnel so thats usualy a bit hit and miss lol, also when i take close ups, i press the flower symbol on the camera as it enables the camera to focus on somthing small/close up
