New to G scale UK

Welcome to the forum Dave.

Please note that you will need a minimum of LGB R3 for the ART 66 loco, around 8ft diameter. PIKO R3 curves are a smaller diameter and won't be large enough.

Look forward to seeing your progress....

Hi Dave, and welcome to the Forum. I hope you will find us to be a friendly bunch who are happy to help. When you're starting out, some things can seem a bit of a puzzle, but there really is no such thing as a stupid question: we all need to know the basics. We like photos, too. Oh, and really dreadful dad or teacher-type jokes...

Welcome aboard Dave, you have come to the right place to build your knowledge, and LOL " for my kid " , that's an old gem used often
by members on here. Now don't forget, we love pictures... no picture means it didn't happen.

Hello there T thebigtwix from the one and only Grand Duchy, a pity you already ordered some R3 curves as I was looking forward to seeing a clickety-click taking on R1s! I hope your kid likes his railway as this will encourage dad to expand the empire. Enjoy yourself here in our own little world and above all have fun. :)

Welcome to the forum, yes we've all heard the ol' chestnut, "it's for the kids, honest" before, but don't worry, your among friends here, so we won't tell, honestly! As PhilP says, it's worth popping into the show at The Fosse, lots of like minded folk will be there. Buying stuff for the kid's layout, obviously

Welcome to the forum Dave, lots of help, advice and bad jokes plus links to some of our lines and construction of same in blue links below.
