Oh Danny Boyyyy...............

Gizzy

A gentleman, a scholar, and a railway modeller....
Country flag
Nice one J....

Here's a pic, taken the other day, of my Danny bought about 6 years ago. The major difference apart from the colour of the spectacle plate is the louvres on the sides and a whitemetal filler cap on the bonnet.
I've changed the couplings to Accucraft ones, a screw through the middle to attach them to the buffer beams means I had to leave out the spring.
One fine day I'll get around to some detailing.....

I like the look of him, I would be interested to hear how you find him in day to day use. It would also seem straight forward to make him "shower proof " for rainey days.

Keith where did you get the loovres from? I loikes em Idoes.

The louvres came fitted to the loco when I bought it new. They consist of 2 layers of plastic card, the top one being "louvre shaped"

Here's a side view taken last winter showing the louvres.

Here's a view of mine on my old layout hauling an average train; there was a fairly steep gradient at one end after I made it a continuous run.
