Super job, certainly an object of desire. I have 2 Stainz that I bought after seeing what may have been your beast at Fosse Way some Years back. But now I desire a Yugoslavian Duplex. Essentially 2 Stainz back to back rather like a Fairlie. Might have fun getting the kit in, reckon that some Metal Weights will have to go.

Thanks Jon, I don't think it was mine although it might have been. Another member of the G Scale Society West Midlands group had one before me and it might have been his. Would love to see your Yugoslavian Duplex. Finding space for all of the electronic bits has been a real challenge. I've removed most of the lead weight from the boiler to make space and it was still a real shoehorn job getting the cab back on without trapping one of the many wires.

Presume you mean a Stainz-based Garratt Ian?

On another 'Stainz' note..
I have a rare-ish Stainz here, which has dived off a shelf..
An older split-chassis model, and the bar across the bottom joining the ?motion support? bit has broken.. A cursory glance, looks like a complete motion swap will be in order??
I will start a proper 'care and feeding' of broken Stainz thread later in the week. - It is at Chasewater, so will not have it 'on the bench' until the end of the week..

Aha Garratt still trying to get my head round a Roundhouse one, but will need to get rid of my Russell first. And that needs some TLC too as last time I tried to run it (Christmas) it just would not play.
