Opening up a LGB Stainz

I want to convert a Stainz to battery power, but have fallen at the first hurdle. - I cant get it open to get to the wires.
So, rather than just unscrew anything that moves, has anyone any useful tips ?
Well, if you just go down a wee bit below your post you will find my thing about Stainz lighting, and if you want know how an idiot (me) dismantled a 2020 Stainz, it's all there. If I could do it, anyone can. Lots of pictures there also

where did you get the tender from?
I want to battery convert my stainz
Sort of a scratch build....
Storage caddy for the body (Kabi.co.uk).
Chassis from LGB short bolster wagon.

Thanks Rob

I've ordered an LGB toytrain tender 96172 from Glendale Junction now, though
should do the trick

Now that's what I call slick and simple.
Three of these now on the way.

Fairly quick anyway.
After a couple of versions, I eventually cut the sloped front of the box to a vertical profile.
