Hi,Carl,
Looks like I can ship it between $15-$22 USD. I'll have to see how I can package it once I print it. Once I get the print dialed in, I'll shoot you a PM and we can figure out the logistics. One thing I am experimenting with is using my FDM to print the model and then "painting" the part with UV Resin. It cuts down my finishing time and can give a smoother finish. Though, like any coating, it causes more thickness and can hide some detail. So I can try it on the stove or just leave it the bare FDM plastic.
Thanks Tac. Another G Scale member has offered to do a bit of 3D printing for me for a few items that I am looking for. However your lead is also very helpful - also in Canada - so very convenient. I will check in with him on further needs. Thanks again.Give Gilbert Le Croix a call in Smiths Falls ON. He has a website - GLX Models - tell him I sent you. He speaks English, BTW. His business is 3D printing parts for model railroads and he is amazingly helpful.
I got the stove printed out a week or two ago, but the brake wheel has been a hang up. Trying not to have to design it all myself, but any 3D models I have found on line are too modern.Hi,
have you had a chance to experiment with the stove and brake wheels yet? No immediate rush...still working on another kit, but I thought I would check in anyway. Cheers, carl
Many thanks! I know that the vintage brake wheels tend to be a bit fancier- with sprockets, etc.If this is giving you trouble, I would be happy with a simpler version, if this is causing you headaches!I got the stove printed out a week or two ago, but the brake wheel has been a hang up. Just finished up another project (well, it's in paint at least) so I will attempt again to get a brake wheel produced today or tomorrow.

Certainly Kadee for couplers but you will need their G1 types (1:32 on 45 mm gauge track) rather than the "G Scale" types they offer. Certainly Stan Cedarleaf, for water slide or Del Taporo of G Scale Graphics, self adhesive vinyl, can help you with producing the custom lettering you require. Be aware that there are a lot of 1:29 scale mainstream products, and even 1:24, current and past from USA Trains and Aristocraft and others (the latter named now defunct but being readily available 2nd hand and are steadily being selectively re released by Bachmann) that could be adapted for your slightly smaller proposed but more orthodox, to some, scale. Those supplying ancilary detailing parts, like bolt heads, grab irons, stoves and chimney's tend to produce for the 1:20.3 (F) scale narrow gauge stock or to 1:24. Like Ozark Miniatures do.
All these suppliers are North American based, although I have used them here in the UK. Quite useful when you have chosen to model D&RGW and logging kit. I dare say if you search online you will find more specialist suppliers who cover standard gauge prototypes modeled at 1:32 (or 10 mm to the foot G1) Max
Thanks Tac. I was made aware of that earlier. Can you point me to the memorial posted on here. I might have been " out of the room" at the time. Stan was a magician when it came to creating or matching various liveries to order. Will be sorely missed. MaxStan Cedarleaf sadly left us a few months back. We, that is to say most of us lucky enough to have been personal friends, posted a memorial here after Kay called us up.
So, that leaves a new face on the block, based, as it happens in Canada, and able to make decals in any scale, right up to fullsize......now, if only I can remember who it is..................................................

Thanks for this. I will definitely follow up. In terms of a wheel, I am looking at something around 3/4" in diameter.OP - here's the Canadian company who would prolly be able to help you out with decals - Black Cat Publishing- Model Railroad Decals
Thanks to old buddy Alan Wright still over there in ON.

Thanks anyway. I appreciate your offer to help!Ah, desolé - what I have is almost one inch and not dished like you say you need.
Here in UK we have a maestro of decal-making in the form of Tom Eivers - Endon Valley Custom Decals. His stock-base lists the many complicated logos for the numerous Welsh narrow gauge lines that proliferate in that part of UK - his products are peerless in every respect. I have emole him to talk to me about your problem 'down the line' now that we have no Stan. Thanks anyway. I appreciate your offer to help!
Thanks Tac. I have discovered a fellow here, in Canada, that also is a specialist and has in stock the various logos I will be using for my CN caboose. Cheers, Carl
