I may have the answer. This started with me in February, intermittently at first and then permanently but not necessarily with all @btinternet.com addresses. However, cutting a long story short, the problem appears to have been because in my email account the outgoing server was set up for POP3 and this is now being replaced with IMAP (for greater security I think). I had to uninstall Thunderbird from my computer and then reinstall setting outgoing servers to IMAP.

You do lose all the emails on your computer and on your webmail, or I did but I was warned in advance about this and and so saved important ones to disk.

Interestingly, my Playmobil diesel has also lost a tire. I noticed it a few weeks ago when I took my trains out of winter storage. I suspect Playmobil America may have a replacement. But I wonder if any of the LGB traction tires I have had in my parts bin, unopened for the last thirty years would fit.....:wondering:

I move to IMAP on all my email addresses a number of years ago, however I "archived" (save as PST files) my stored emails first, and even though my server is supposed to retain my emails, I still archive every year or so to ensure nothing is lost.

Excellent! You cannot trust these big companies, they get attacked and/or lose stuff, it seems more and more often. I wish more people followed your lead.

I’ve just looked at my LGB locomotives after 15-20 years of storage and found that all the traction tyres on the wheels have either cracked or gone gooey.

Special, limited edition, for use on the Wetton Gooey Light Railway I expect!
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

That's odd.....o_O.....I think in all the years i have been running LGB locos, only one traction tire has failed.

I have read this line, and got the impression there is a shop or person selling the Plamobil drive wheels with the rubber lining.
If so can somebody give me the address?
Gerard
