Postbox & Telephone Kiosk

A little bit of  rather crude coffee stirrer fencing going on here, my first attempt, well, you live and learn, but rooting around the box of stuff the kids have given me I found this natty little Tel Kiosk and Postbox. The set is not designed for any sort of railway, each item is in fact a pencil sharpener, but at about 88mm high it seems to me to be ideal for G-scale. Don`t know where you would find it, souvenir shops around Piccadilly Circus looks a likely place. The only name on it is "Egate" and of course, it`s made in China, so it`s got to be accurate. Doesn`t sit too well with a GEC U25B or yet again a Stainz in the picture, but there is of course Rule 8 to cover that.

The local branch of Poundland has had the Telephone Box in stock in the past.
Don't think they have any at the moment though.

Yes, never thought of the tartan box. I would think this set came from the Edinburgh based daughter. Of course, if the new Alickie Sammind takeover succeeds, these might no longer be useful on a Scottish based layout. Tartan, perhaps. There once was a Scottish tartan painted loco, No. 55 if my memory serves me right. It ran on one of the predecessors of the NBR. By the way, do you lot still have green telephone boxes in Hull? Let's go to the pub, it's starting to rain here
