Powering Piko Switches

I'll be adding a Piko 35224 Curved Switch to my layout and wondered if anyone out there has used a Meanwell LRS-150-24 as the power supply for the electric switch machine via the switch control box?

Thanks for the reply. Your point is well-taken. My thought was driven by cost (I'm still early into the hobby and trying to keep costs down) in that a Meanwell is about 3x less expensive than the power supplies offered from Piko. But, I may be paying about the same after building a weatherproof 'enclosure' for the Meanwell.

The encapsulated switch-mode power supply from Piko is a standard commercial product (that is, it is not exclusive to Piko) and can be purchased for less from the electronics market place. I'll look up the details later today and post them here.

OK here it is.... MeanWell GST120A20-P1M. Delivers 20V DC @ 6A

Here in Australia I can buy it for ~AUD$67 with free shipping from "Mouser" (an electronics supplier who also operate in the UK... it looks like the UK price is GBP ~37, also with free shipping)

You need to provide your own IEC mains power cable but they are readily available everywhere.

Thanks so much. Similarly I found it here in the states through an electronics supply company called TRC. Sells for $50 USD. Still less than the best price I've found for the one made for PIKO. Appreciate the help!
