Relatively new with the big trains.

If you can find it, LGB had a 55045 (uses Windows PC and a disk of software) that has a great screen showing all the CV settings on LGB decoders and give the type such as the 55021 which had 3 different versions. Also lets you reprogram the decoder. I have the latest CD software on cd (from approx year 2002). Unfortunately this software is only good for the first 256 (0-255) locations. Perhaps the newer Massoth programmer/software will address these old decoders.

Thanks Dan. I have the 55045, disks, usb to serial adapter all installed on my old Intel MacBook with Virtual box and windows xp. Works Ok but I’ll have to wait until I get home in 6 weeks, still working onboard the boat in Barcelona unfortunately but have to pay for the train tokens! The old LGB Ge 4.4 turned up Wednesday I bought, what a beast. Now sharing my diminutive 4m x 2.5m. cabin with the new loco, an RhB restaurant coach plus a bunch of track, bits and pieces and another RhB coach on its way. Designing my enhanced indoor layout as we speak and squeaking like a 5 year old on Christmas morning every time I pull out the bits and pieces to measure something.
