It certainly looks like standard gauge in that pic of it hauling the boxcars. Re availability, I emailed Hartland themselves and got this response:

"Unfortunately, we do not sell direct to the UK. However, John Mosblack with
Mosblack Hobby Shop in Salem Ohio is our preferred international dealer.
His e-mail is: mosblackhobby@sbcglobal.net."

I haven't followed this up apart from a quick look at the Mosblack website, which shows only a very limited amount of HLW stock (and no Macks) at the moment. Any of our US forum members have any experience of this dealer?

Jon.

I never heard of the above hobby store. Here is a great place for the Mack.

Im not sure about international but give them a call a see. The guy their is great and will work with you. Plus he has the Mack at the lowest price.

Thanks for that link, Shawn - looks like he has a full selection of the Macks in stock according to the site, in all the colour choices!
So.... hypothetical question: if I was to think seriously about ordering a Mack (or two) from the US, would anyone else on here be interested in getting one at the same time to share the costs of shipping and (most likely) customs clearance fees etc? At us US price of fifty bucks, that equates to something around £32 or so, which is pretty cheap for a loco - even if the shipping and fees added as much as another 20 quid or so to each loco, it would still be a good deal in my opinion.
Anyone seriously interested?

Jon.

I bought my Mack from I&G Steam.
OK - it was quite a while ago, Oct 2004 at a swapmeet in Chester.
At the time they also had the wagon kits.
They just may be worth a call:-
