:cool:The name Kalahari is only one of many being considered for this locomotive. Gobi and Sahara are also in the running. No name plates have been ordred yet. Watch this space.8|

The build quality is fine. shortly after getting mine it was running round the raised section of my track and hit a hard pack of bird muck I had missed. It came off the track and fell nearly 3ft to the only part below that had a hard surface. It landed on the brass rail accross a Bradstone brick. There was a slight dent in the rail straightened with a small piece of wood, and no marks to the paintwork.
This was only my second loco and my heart was in my mouth when I went to pick it up. Would recomend to anyone who fancies it.

is it a live internal combustion engine of somekind like "live" steam hence the price tag? It looks like a lovely little thing.... the fall must have been a bad moment!!!!

What a cracking looking loco, is it track powered or RC

It is battery powered, radio control 2.4Ghz, with full sound. All metal construction.
The locomotive is built to the same exacting standards as the Roundhouse steam locomotives.
On a full charge the locomotive will run nonstop for two hours.
