roundhouse lady ann kit

Been too cold or windy in Los Angeles to paint the body of my tram engine. Been thinking about buying or building a model size spray booth for the workshop.

the frames now have some wheels
the axles have a "square"on the ends so this takes care of the quartering ;)
just need to be pressed on firmly and then a small screw to hold the cranks on

:nail: :nail: too cold to spray outside today so im looking for the answer on how to get
spray paint off of the work top  :o :nail: :nail:

Whenever i spray in the garage, its not just the worktop that gets covered in paint. Its the whole garage. Admittedly its just paint dust that doesn't stick, but it still makes a real mess. Wouldn't try to spray paint indoors at all!

Watching with interest...............ref paint on Worktop.........maybe you could show your good lady and ask her advice :rolf: Please send pictures of your bruises if you decide on this course of action! :rolf:

I sprayed inside out kitchen once, and thought I was real clever by covering everything with sheets and running the stove's ventilation fan. NOPE... everything was covered in a black powder. I saw later that the stove didn't vent out, just through an old filter back into the kitchen.

My wife wondered why I cleaned the kitchen so well that day!

Just a suggestion before you get to far into it.

Spray the inside of the buffer beams black.

Have you finished it yet Edward :nail:

Oops 2009-2012
Well its like this......
I got all the wheels on and cranks set up rightly as i thought but the wheels wouldnt go....So it was put to one side....
A discussion was held a few weeks back and the boxes dug out , following another discussion with a member of the model engineers he said he would look at it....
A couple of weeks ago i presented him with the chassis, the following week i got it back:bigsmile:
Lacking a compessor and workshop space is my excuse and im sticking to it!!!!

I got around the lack of compressor with this homemade adaptor: http://youtu.be/HISrecswpbY

Dave.

Shades of the old VW beetles - windscreen washer worked off the spare tyre - problem if you forgot about the spare under the bonnet and you had a puncture ....
